Where can I get the orientation control app?
This is a discussion on GTV Hacker Dropbox account is not working anymore? within the Sony Blu-Ray Set Top Box forums, part of the Google TV Set-Top Boxes category; Where can I get the orientation control app?...
It's in the android market (now called Google Play). However you will either need to sideload it or use GTVHacker dropbox account to download it.
I did download set-top box TV version.
does "orientation control" can adjust aspect ratio?
It seems like it's pictures are off aspect ratio...?
is there other way to sideload instead of using gtv hacker's dropbox? since login/pass isn't working anymore...
How to install incompatible apps?
As mentioned in that thread you could try to do a search to find the apk on a different repository - and then download it directly. Or you could sideload the app with the aid of your mobile phone.
I didn't find that the orientation app improves anything with the Maxthon browser though. I think the guy in that android video sideloaded the mobile phone version of Maxthon - and that's probably why the orientation app was useful. The set-top version is their newest browser and comes with the proper orientation.
I found the Maxthon browser good for three workarounds (I mentioned them in the Project Free thread). However for general browsing purposes the Maxthon browser leaves a lot to be desired. For one thing it will not play Flash on GTV. YouTube videos don't work at all on Maxthon. The Maxthon streams videos through a mobile format such as MP4 (instead of Flash). So it primarily works with some mobile sites.
Last but not least I'll mention that the GTV dropbox is now back up and running. However it has been purged of ALL the apks that were there before. So the dropbox is currently empty. I don't have a mobile phone or computer so I can't add apks to the dropbox - but maybe somebody else will add the orientation apk to the dropbox for you.

Dropbox email/password info still not accepted. Anyone have a new password or a new dropbox account?
