Netflix inoperable after newest firmware update 2.1update 1.
I have a message "cannot connect to Netflix , please try again or visit Netflix.com/help.
On the screen appear two options "try again" "cancel"
After several seconds the screen became black. I reboot the device maybe twice without results. Other apps working fine. Any solution will be appreciate . Thank you

Log into Netflix from a different computer. just to make sure you are able to connect to the site from your location. Hopefully it is using the same internet connection as the other computer. Another thing to test, is to ensure that you have internet connectivity at all from your box. Might try to change your password to Netflix. Maybe it would free out of that error if you got an invalid password error. Worth a try...

We had same issue. I did a CTRL + ALT + DEL reset and after relogging in it works perfect.
    Good Luck

Thank you guys for your advices....so no one worked to fix my problem.
I reset the device (hard reset), change my Netflix password, ctrl-alt-delete (soft reset) thankfully I streaming Netflix movies from my computer and Wii, the last one is going to embarrass the high tech NSZ-GT1 because after December 20 when it got the GTV first update I didn't watch movies from Netflix app in to my new Sony bluray google tv since then.
Im disappointed with my new gadget. Unfortunately I cannot return it to Bestbuy because I bought it in Thanksgiven.
Any more ideas fellas would be appreciated. Happy new year to everybody

I believe this device would qualify for Bestbuy's holiday extended return policy which I think ran from 11/1/10 until 1/31/11. You might want to check with them.

    Hi Twinsdaddy2,

Sorry you've been having this problem. The only time I've seen this specific error is on a box not connected to the internet, which doesn't sound like the case here. Can you confirm that you haven't been having any other connectivity issues?

Have you tried a factory data reset? Is this what you meant by a hard reset?

Also, you may want to try force quitting the app and restarting it:

Settings > Applications > Manage applications > Netflix > Force stop

If the Netflix app appears multiple times in the list, be sure force stop all of them.

The issue may be with your Netflix plan type. I had an old plan which is no longer offered and didnt support playing Netlix on TV devices. I changed to a current plan and it now works

    From Netflix Help"

    Netflix Ready Devices

To watch instantly on your TV via a Netflix ready device, you must be on an Unlimited plan.

You are currently on the , 2 DVDs out at-a-time (4 a month), plan. Click here to change to an Unlimited plan."

im having the same issue on the sony internet tv. app sits on a black screen then says cant connect to netflix. i reboot a few times then it runs but with no sound. was working fine for the first few days that I had the tv. now when I want to watch netflix its like a hour long cycle of rebooting and playing pandora then nextflix to get the sound to work. seems extremely buggy . huge pain in the arse.

I do not See Force Stop. The only option I have is "Clear Data".
Settings > Applications > Manage applications > Netflix > Clear Data

My problem is that my son's Netflix account is set up and running. I want to deactivate it and activate mine. Think one could find a simple answer like that? Not? I have tried every option in the menus and scoured the internet for advice. You guys have been the best I can find.

We even changed the password in his Netflix account.

    Thank, Frustrated in Detroit

I see what you're saying about "Clear Data"-- however, you should be able to scroll down on that same screen and find the Force Stop function.

With regards to the login issue, I'd encourage you to be in touch with Netflix support, or the support team for your device (Sony or Logitech).

    Good luck,
    Daniel

Hi guys....good news Finally I FOUND THE SOLUTION !!!!!!!
I was wondering in a possibility, could be the last one.
I went to Homedepot to buy 25 feet Cat5 patch internet cable , cost me $14.00. Then I connected de NSZ-GT1 via LAN, previously of course did the factory reset.
Amazing!! Netflix App finally recognized my suscription and the I went true.
I have Verizon fast internet speed up to 3.0 Mbps and very goog home network.
Remember guys on my particular case all applications were working fine included Netflix BEFORE GTV update (wireless connection)....AFTER first update 2.1 something was wrong only with Netflix App then stop to streaming (wireless connection). I guess this new application (Netflix) need a lot Mbps to delivery content.
Now my NSZ_GT1 device is WIRED CONNECTED instead of wireless. I dont really care since it work.
I hope further updates can fix some bugs in Google TV platform because the "cookie was not well baked".
Thank you everybody for all your comments and suggestions.

That's great! Wired is always preferred, due to bandwidth requirements. I'm thinking the update included compatibility fixes for some wireless routers, and these updates actually hosed your original configuration. Wouldn't be the first time a 'fix' came that broke something that worked. *cough* Micro$soft updates..

I have been unable to connect to netflix since 10 Jan 11 when my Sony Google TV was installed. I have an ethernet wire to my router and speed is not an issue. I have called Sony support dozens of times. Reboot fixed the problem for a week. Then a total reset fixed the problem for a week or 2. I finally got transferred to an application specialist who had me do a clear data for the netflix application. That worked for a couple of days and I'm back to unable to connect again. I'm supposed to be transferred to a 3rd level support next, but being a holliday weekend, it will be 4 days before I will be able to get thru again. I have a reference number from Sony. You need to call Sony at 1-888-476-6972 to let them know others are having the same problem so there will be some pressure to fix it.

I am having this problem too since doing the firmware update - error message says "We're having trouble playing this title right now. Please try again later or select a different title." I tried about 10 titles and none of them worked. As suggested in this forum, I went into Manage Applications and force stopped, cleared the data, and then restarted using control alt del. Still getting the error message after doing that. Since doing the update I now have two versions of Netflix on the TV. Is this the problem and if so, how do I delete the older one? Do I need to do a factory reboot?

Never mind - I called Netflix and they walked me through the deactivation process. I'm all set.
